what’s in a title?

Well, yesterday was a very interesting day. For one thing, they are doing and extreme House Makover really close to us, in Yorba Linda, and it’s a widow with nine children! Anyway, A few of them went down there and they saw Ty!

so that was pretty exciting.

Later that evening, the whole clan was over. There were 21 people over. It was crazy!

quotes from the night include “he took them to the park to throw the dog for the ball”

Blog Please

Tuesday Twosome
1. What two things you enjoy about Spring? it’s warm again, that’s when Easter is

2. What two things are you going to miss about Winter? the holidays. I don’t really have another thing because to me, the holidays are what makes it winter.

3. Spring Cleaning: “Of course, I get to clean out my house.” or “Nope. What’s the point? It’s going to get dirty again anyway.” well, I don’t really have a house, but if I did, I’m guessing I wouldn’t spring clean it.

4. Spring Flowers: “Tulips and all flowers are blooming. I love this time of the year!” or “Allergy season is kickin’ in. Pollen! Enough already.” I love flowers

5. Spring weather in you area means: “Outside activities!” or “It is still freakin’ cold! I am going to be inside, thank you!” it’s warm, but not as hot as summer usually.

Okay, like, my computer kept restarting while I was trying to blog and it really bothered me. Anyway, tomorrow is when Jerrod’s X-files game for PS2 comes out, so everyone go buy it. I’m going to go over there tomorrow and we’re going to have lunch and buy his game and take pictures. Fun, fun.
And I can hardly believe that my aunt Tana is coming next week! It happens so fast. But I still can’t find my Disneyland ID card, which is bad because, well, without it I can’t park, or get in, or buy with a discount. It’s an all around not so good situation.

Monday, Monday

I added a bunch of cute things to this yesterday, I started a stamp collection, a pixel town, and a pixel train. I’m still waiting for approval on some things. They are down in the Shannon section.
Monday Madness…
1. What is your solution for cabin fever – you know that feeling of being penned in the house all winter? well, I don’t really know. living in southern California kind of changes the idea of winter.

2. Who are the people in your neighbourhood…in your neighbourhood, in your neighbourhood…..? well, the neighbor to our left is Nancy

3. What’s the best thing about spring? Easter and pastels

4. Any Easter traditions? church, easter egg hunt, reading of scripture, meal

5. How old were you believing in the Easter bunny? I never believed in the easter bunny.

You Know You’re From California…

I got this idea from Dandelion Wine
“You go to google and type in “You know you’re from [your state]” to see if they’re true.”

Here are some which I found true, or which made me giggle:

You make over $300,000 and still can’t afford a house.
Gas costs $1.00 per gallon more than anywhere else in the US

It’s barely sprinkling rain outside, so you leave for work an hour early to avoid all the weather-related accidents.
You pass by a high school and most of the kids you see are talking on a cell phone.
The Terminator is your new governor. (note: I think this should be “You have a Governator”)
A really great parking space can move you to tears.
The guy at 8:30 in the morning at Starbucks wearing the baseball cap and sunglasses who looks like George Clooney IS George Clooney.
Your car insurance costs as much as your house payment.
You really can never be too rich or too thin.
Any invitation comes with, “Starts at 8pm or as soon as you can get through traffic.”
An earthquake hits and you say casually to the person sitting next to you: “3.5”.

Today, Jerrod was supposed to come over, but he had to work. He’s coming over now, but of course it’s not quite the same. But oh well. I went to my favorite Chinese resturaunt today, and I picked up my order and the lady said she should have known it was me because I ordered cream cheese wontons. She asked if I cook and I told her that I make good homemade macaroni and cheese – the from scratch kind. And she seemed pretty surprised, and asked about it, so I actually told her how to make it, generally of course. lol. But tragedy struck later this afternoon when the dogs ate the rest of my fried rice, which was most of it, as I don’t eat that much of it at a time. So now I’m looking forward to Del Taco when Jerrod gets here rather than the leftovers I would be having. Oh, well.
I made some changes to the blog page today. I added a “members” section to the right and I joined a few webrings and such. Should be good. I also added a blinkies page down in the Shannon section. It opens as a popup.
I made a whole lot of Winamp skins last night and today. I made S/S ones, and a beach one out of my photos, an Anne one, and some disney ones, and even a veggietales one. I think I’m going to add a skins section to my fanart site, and put them up there. I also have alot of Narnia skins and a Princess Diaries one that I’ve made.

I haven’t blogged in a while. I’ve had a pretty icky cold, and I’ve been running a fever the past few days. I think my fever’s down now but I’ve been coughing alot since lunch. oh, well. I added some songs to my playlist. I’ve been reading lots of Seth/Summer fanfiction. for some reason it seemed like the most logical thing for sick me to do.

Anyway, apparently this is Insomniac’s tenth anniversary. Jerrod just said that they were going to take everyone on a cruise!  and of course I would get to come. I am really excited about it. I’ve never been on a cruise before. I already started thinking of the things I’d need to go shopping for. Jerrod laughed at that. and I told my roommate and I was saying “and of course I’d have to go shopping” and she started laughing. aw, well. Well of course, I’ll need a new bathing suit, and I want one of those board skirts, and I’ll need some new flipflops for the season and other sandals, and sundresses, and a new fancy dress for the dinner.

Leap Day

It’s Leap Day, did anyone notice that this was leap year? I noticed yesterday when I installed the calendar. Leslie and Rod are over with their baby, but I’m a bit sick, and so I’m keeping my distance.

Anyway, yesterday we didn’t end up going to the movie, as I didn’t feel very good so we just stayed home and watched smallville. I’m also working on a project for a friend’s birthday soon.

So I got the main page of set up with portal and board and everything, and I’m looking for admins and whatnot for it. I added my frames tutorial for it, and I still have my checkered tutorial, but then I’ll need to think of more things that would be good on it. I’d like to add a good download manager, which would actually let you upload files. Jerrod told me to take a nap hours ago but my head was too congested.

Well, I haven’t been blogging because I’ve been setting up my blog on this new, seperate page. which is of course, this lovely plaid. I technically should be brushing my hair as Jerrod’s already on his way, but here I am trying to get in a quick blog instead. I spent a while picking out neat scripts and installing the currently, quote, and calendar. Hey wait, I just noticed that it’s leap year! good thing I installed that calendar.  I’m a little dissapointed though because I can’t seem to get the mood addon for Currently to work.

Except now I’m not sure what I’m going to do with the rest of the site. I guess I’ll get associates and have more tutorials and things. maybe I’ll post on roxydoll to see if anyone wants in on the project. I can give them their own subdomains for their blog too if they would like.

So anyway, today we’re going to see The Passion and probably play some more games and whatnot. speaking of which, I really should be going to get ready.

I can say “three”

Well, The game my boyfriend has been working on has been announced, so I can now say it openly. Jerrod has been working at Insomniac for the past couple weeks and is now working on the Ratchet & Clank 3 game. woohoo! That’s all I can say, though .

On monday, I had an interview at a day care center and I put in my application in at Biola for the web design job. I really want the web design job, and I prayed all the way home from dropping off the application.

Also today I had an orthodontist appointment, and babysat at church in the morning.

Another important thing happened today; Mel Gibson’s movie about the crucifixion, The Passion, is out. Some people I know or heard speak saw the rough cut back in like september, and they all said it was excellent. I’m really looking forward to seeing it. My mom doesn’t like “sad” movies and said it would be too sad. I cry when I read the Chronicles of Narnia, but I don’t mind. It’s a good kind of cry.

I’ve Got Gmail!

woohoo! after reading an article on Geek News Central I checked out the gmail swap website, particularly the Checking for invites page. This section jumped out at me;

Update: 20/05/04. If you’re a Blogger user, you may have the chance to join Gmail, or to distribute invitations. While this feature initially went away after the Blogger redesign, tonight, it’s back! If you are an “active” blogger user, login and then look on the right side above the Blogger Help box. If there’s a little square with the title “Want Gmail?”, you’re in luck! Register for a Gmail account, or else hold off and use the opportunity to swap with one of our supplicants.

I have a blogger account I use to test my blog templates with blogger coding, so I logged in and sure enough! I’ve only just logged in, and it looks super-cool. So, if you’re a blogger user, check for an invitation, and if you don’t want to use it, there are tons of geeky people ravenous for one! If you want to give your invite to someone, don’t click the link, right-click and select “save target as” to copy it to your clipboard. Paste it and send to your lucky friend. 🙂

I have Gmail. I am so happy… 🙂
